Government messages pitched at the whole of the youth community aren't working because most young Australian drinkers can't be shamed out of their drinking habits, according to new research.
The Queensland University of Technology study says the government should focus on actively promoting new products and services that will appeal to the 18-25 drinking bracket as well as having a lower alcohol content or less focus on alcohol.
What do you think? Will the government's latest marketing efforts that warn of the 'dangers' of binge drinking have success? Or do you think the QUT study is on to something?
